This painting began in the summer of 2023, and finished in the fall. Carter's Beach is a beloved spot here in Hancock, the culmination a one lane gravel road along the undeveloped Westerly shoreline along Frenchman Bay. Although the shore to Carter's Beach is mostly rocky, at this spot a wide flat beach of stones and mudflat stretch out toward the bay. This painting is from the tall berm of sea weed and wild heather, where the brackish salt pond outlet runs toward the sea.
