This technique is one of my favorite ones, which I learned from my father; many years ago, likely in the early 1970s, he was painting in a meadow. A wind gust flung his painting off the easel and onto the tall grass, paint side down. The he picked it up, he saw the delicate pattern the grasses has made on his painting- and a new technique was born!
