This large painting is a sister painting to the much smaller "Red Lupine", and captures the luxuriant, magical, but moody feeling of evening in the June lupine meadow- sort of a homesickness for this very moment, as no other moment- until next summer- will bring the late dimming light, the swallows swooping above, and the beautiful lupines.
