The one red lupine amongst the purple! Oh Lupine! Painting lupine has become a favorite yearly event- seeds brought by the birds sitting on the electric line fell in their droppings along the edge of our long driveway through the meadow- over years this lupine extravaganza has spread, and now both sides of our driveway burst forth in a lupine forest early June, lasting about 2 weeks. Purples, white, pinks, and occasionally red- artistic license led me to this blue.
